Wade’s Quarantine 3rd Birthday

Third quarantine birthday success!  Wade had a wonderful day and both parents were exhausted, so that’s the sign of a great day to me.   I decorated the night prior so whenever he came downstairs in the morning there were balloons everywhere.  (I’ve recently gotten into making balloon arches so I’ll put a quick DIY tutorial below too… and they’re REALLY easy to do)!  Wade’s first present was delivered in bed and we started the day all wearing PJ Mask costumes and going on a quick mission.   Once downstairs, we opened presents and went directly outside where we stayed for most of the day.  One of the nicest things during quarantine has been the Kona Ice truck deliveries for the kids.  I was able to place an order to be delivered to our house which was an extra fun surprise!

Balloon Arch DIY:

The ballon arch was really simple and fun!  My kids even got involved in the action.  Below are some quick cliff notes:

  1.  You definitely need an electric balloon pump.  This is the one I used from Amazon and we’ll have it for years to come now.
  2. You can either buy a kit (I linked some options below) or you can simple order the plastic piece and ballon tape separately.  The balloon tape is used for adding smaller balloons that you cannot hook to the plastic piece.  I didn’t use the balloon tape at all in the one pictured below and only used balloons that hooked into the plastic piece.  They sell both items together here.
  3. If you didn’t buy a balloon kit, all that’s left is to pick out your balloons of choice! I linked some fun options below.  You can fill the balloons up to different amounts to give the arch some dimension or you can simple fill them all up at the same level (the one pictured is simple and all filled to the same amount).
