When we originally built our house in 2016/2017, we decided not to finish the basement and do it at a later date. We’re so happy we held off on finishing it with Ryan Homes so we could now customize it to our needs. Our contractor was also wonderful and worked with us every step of the way.
You’ll notice I don’t have much on the walls or much in terms of decor, period. One day I will continue to decorate the basement, but it’s currently a baby-proof spot for our kids to play (minus the fridges). It’s very open and non-cluttered so that’s how it will remain for the next few years. However, I will be adding some wall decor once I find the perfect pieces.
